Sometimes people ask me to model for them and I gladly accept. Aside from being tall (5'9) I do not have the body of a typical model, nor could I ever possibly give up cheeseburgers in order to possess one. But I'll gladly mince around for a camera, womanly hips and all, especially if it means getting to dress up in lovely things! These photos (taken by the lovely Erin of Calivintage with both her fancy new camera and my crappy film one) are from behind the scenes at a 50's-themed photo shoot for Modcloth. It was an all-lady crew and I enjoyed every second of it, especially the glamorous hair and makeup. I was quite skeptical of the concept of "side bangs" at first, but I'm a believer now. It's funny how many Dita Von Teese comparisons I've had since showing these... quite the compliment, although I'm sure it had more to do with the hair than anything!
You can see the feature and shop all the looks here.
The adorable shoes I got to wear... my favorites are the mint green heels (so comfortable).
This little dude crawled into my cat bag and made my day.
Erin, looking delightfully adorable as always. (You can't tell in this photo but her mug has her name on it... cuuute.)
I call this my Smug Asshole pose.
Oh yeah, there was some dancing.
